More house updates!! What else? So last weekend was another fun weekend of moving and painting. But we did reach our goal of getting the master bedroom and study finished, yay! But gosh, painting over textured walls is a beast. We have some more painting to do later, but it’s for rooms that we can easily do after we’re moved in. And speaking of which, we’re moving in this coming weekend, yay!! We can’t wait to get over there.

We did manage to have a great week last week, too! Monday we went to watch the ‘Stros play with Ernie and Paula (Branden’s dad and stepmom). The game was lots of fun, but poor Branden got stuck sitting next to a noisy drunk guy all evening. And he was super patient and kind to him the entire time! My husband never ceases to amaze me. I think I would have asked the guy to zip it:)

Tuesday was Branden’s soccer game, and I was able to go to this one because it wasn’t unbelievably late at night!  I tried to take some pics of the game but it wasn’t the easiest task in the world. Here’s the only one that remotely came out:

Pay no attention to the flash on the glass   They played great, and Branden scored a goal!  They did lose the game, but that’s a minor detail compared to how good Branden looked while playing.

And then Friday was Independence Day, and we got together with a bunch of couples from our Newlywed Sunday school class for dinner and fireworks watching! There must have been 30 of us. It was like being in Lighthouse again! It was great to spend time with our friends and also get to know some of the other couples better. Oh yes, and then we finished the night off at the Chocolate Bar. Mmmmmm.
